Hello, my name is Etana Williams, but you can call me Tarni, I’m the founder of Helping Hounds. Helping Hounds grew from my love for dogs and a desire to work alongside them, my passion for dogs all started from a young age as both my grandparents had dogs I loved dearly, but that love for dogs truly took off when I got two of my own. My family and I rescued two dogs who we called Millie and Max. Embarking on the rewarding journey of rescuing Millie in 2011 and then Max in 2012, not only transformed my life but also sparked a deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact on the lives of other dogs in need.
Motivated by a profound sense of gratitude for the joy and companionship my rescued dogs brought into my life, I decided later in life to channel that passion into something meaningful. I followed in the footsteps of others in the animal service industry who donate to charity. Thus, Helping Hounds, a dog walking business with a heart, was born. Our mission goes beyond providing excellent care for your furry friends; it’s about giving back to the local canine community. As part of our commitment to the welfare of dogs, Helping Hounds proudly donates a portion of its monthly proceeds to reputable UK dog and animal charities. Every walk with us not only ensures your dog’s happiness and well-being but also contributes to the well-being of dogs still awaiting their forever homes. Join the pack and have the opportunity to pick a charity close to your heart for us to donate to.
