Tarni (Etana) – Founder

I’m Tarni, the founder of Helping Hounds. Rescue dogs stole my heart after we rescued our first 13 years ago. After beginning my journey in professional dog walking in 2023, I launched Helping Hounds in January 2024 to combine my love for dogs with a mission to support animal charities. I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and specialise in group walks and pack adventures. I also have hands-on experience supporting reactive and nervous dogs through solo walks tailored to their needs. – Currently on maternity leave from pet services, but is continuing to provide client management!

Cicely – Dog Walker

Cicely started walking for Helping Hounds in 2025, as dog mum to Coco, she knows the importance of honouring routines and provided top notch. With most her experience walking solo, Cicely is our solo household specialist and makes every adventure extra fun. Cicely is skilled in managing different breeds and personalities. Her calm, friendly nature makes him a hit with dogs!

Sam – Dedicated Pet Sitter

With a lifetime of experience caring for both dogs and cats, Sam brings a calm, compassionate presence to every pet he looks after. Having grown up surrounded by animals, he understands firsthand just how vital quality care and consistent companionship are for your furry family members.

Sam is available to stay with your pet all day. Which is perfect for animals who need extra attention, reassurance, or just a buddy to lounge with. Whether your pet is a nervous rescue, a senior needing gentle care, or simply enjoys having a human around 24/7, Sam is there to provide comfort and company all day. With the exception of Wednesdays and Thursdays where he will not be able to be at your home all day, but not to worry we will ensure your pet isn’t left alone any longer than 4 hours. If you’re looking for a pet sitter who treats your pet like one of his own, Sam is the ideal choice.
